The Great Pelican Rescue

We visited the Sea Life Center, owned by Scarlett and George Collie.  After we left, we walked out on the pier.  I spotted a pelican that appeared to be tangled in fishing line.  Rod watched it while the kids and I ran back into the Sea Life Center to see if we could get any assistance.  To our surprise, the Collies told us to follow us to their boat.  We boarded, and went with them to find, and rescue, the pelican!!

Posting Spring Break pics…

… on fall break!  Yikes!!  Blogger has changed some things about their platform, and posting pics has become a real pain, so I’ve slowed down…  a lot!  I’m experimenting with a new way to do it, we’ll see if it works!

After lunch one day on SPI, we visited Sea Turtle Inc., a rescue center for injured sea turtles.  Neat place!

 Then, we went to Laguna Madre.  All Reed wants to do is “go to the beach!”
