Father's Day

Charley made a handprint butterfly and painted 2 pictures of a baby for Rod - that's what she said she wanted to give him (the baby).

Then, we toasted with some non-alcoholic Sangria...

C's first carbonated beverage...

What IS this?!?

I think I like it!
Then we made chocolate chip cookies!

Photo Booth

Way back in April, while sitting in the airport killing time, I pulled out the laptop to find some Youtube videos for C to watch, but couldn't get internet access.  So, I discovered this cool app on my "new" Mac (thank you Val and Kels) called "Photo Booth".  Charley and I had fun playing!

Finally - Pool Time!

"Summer" has finally arrived!  By that I mean, we're reaching at least the 70s every day - but we've had a couple of high 80 (and maybe even a low 90) day, so I dusted off the water table and kiddie pool.  What fun!

Puddle Jumping

One day we went for a walk to the lawn.  We had to stop en route and walk along the curbing - a favorite activity.

The sprinklers were on, but broken, and flooding the sidewalk.  A perfect opportunity to splash in puddles!

Charley's First Snake

We've been working really hard to not instill any kind of fear in wild animals (I have to work at this for insects), and so far it seems to be working.  She's finally getting to the point that she'll pick up some of the large darkling beetles scurrying around the house, and she's touched (and cried for an hour after we let go) a few snakes that we've found.  We keep stressing that there are some snakes that are okay to pick up and some that will hurt you if you do, and always to ask Mom or Dad before touching one if you find it.  So today, as we're sitting out on the back porch, I look over and curled around the base of the small geranium plant she chose at the grocery store is a little baby gopher snake.

I point it out to her with delight, and she says "Is it okay to touch?"  Yeay!  So I say yes it is, and tell her what kind it is, and scoop the little guy up.  She gladly touches it, but when I ask if she wants to hold it, she immediately says no.  After about 60 seconds of petting, I ask her again, and she says yes!  So she takes it, and never looks back!

Future herpetologist, like her Dad?

Letting him go - peacefully this time!

Chard, anyone?

Twenty weeks pregnant

Found Charley a sit 'n spin on a FB garage sale site

She found her watermelon hat and just HAD to wear it (for, like 3, days)

Dada's home!

Eating raw chard - is this normal?

Now we're sporting TWO winter hats.

Brush those teeth!
