Reed went with me to the U of A for science fair. I took 8 HHA scholars.
He watched these guys working on campus forever – they were amused. One gave him a dollar.
Then we watched bees drinking water off of the Fulbright fountain.

Charley got pooped on, and threw an ever-lovin’ fit. Right on the boat. In the middle of a crowd of people, all watching the bats swarm out. It was… well, it was something.

Gladys Porter Zoo. Reed found this palm frond right off the bat, and insisted on carrying it all day. Sigh.
This little guy LOVED Charley! They had some kind of communication going on. It was neat to watch!
Reed really liked the petting zoo.
This was my second fave place of the trip – so neat!! The office was this big old plantation house. We saw some awesome birds (i.e. green kingfisher, kiskadees, least grebe…). Great habitat. And, we saw Mexico across the Rio Grande!
Yep, that’s Mexico behind us!
