Grandpa came to spend the holiday with us.
We took a trip down to see the Fayetteville lights. Each kid got to choose 1 thing – C chose to ride a pony, Reed chose a light saber.
Then Grandpa splurged and took us all on a carriage ride.
C helped with the pies.
Reed washed the car!
We decorated for Christmas.
We spent the weekend with Grandma, but I didn’t manage to get any pics!
Rod goes deer hunting each year for the Bentonville Lighting of the Square, so we attend with our friends the Turnbaughs every year. My kids really look forward to the time spent with their friends.
Our PLAN was for the kids to ice skate, go see the lighting, then watch the skating show. Well – the rink was chock full, so we had to postpone our skating. Instead we managed to entertain ourselves around the square while we waited for 6:00 to roll around!
So we rescheduled skating for another day that week – and got a beautiful one!
Reed’s first time ice skating! He used this contraption for about 5 minutes then tried without, and took right off! Five more minutes and he told me, okay mom, I’ve got this, you go sit down!
