The birthday kids

When mom comes to visit, I put my camera down.  There were here for 8 days, and Mom logged over 1700 photos!!  I whittled them down to, I don't know, 300+/-?  And for the sake of this post, I did a quick once over, clicking on a few that stood out to represent their visit.  Lots of birthday events happened this week, thus the title.  Be warned - they're not in order, because we end up with photos from Mom's camera - sometimes TWO cameras going at once - and various phones, so they end up in all kinds of crazy sequence.

They arrived on Charley's birthday.  Reed and I had lunch with Charley at school (previous post), and she brought this crown home.  Mom and Dad got to have cake with her that night.

 For each kid's birthday, Nana and Pops's present was, genius, a whole day to spend however they wanted!  Reed chose watch a nature movie and eat supper at Chuck E. Cheese and paint rocks and play cars and trucks.  :)  Gotta love it.  Here they are, at CEC.

 Charley had her last soccer game of the season.  It was a makeup game, so our team and the team we played were the only teams on the field!

 Rod only had one weekend day to spend with them as he wished, so he chose Lake Fayetteville.  We went on a rather long hike, from the parking lot, to the bird blind, (C and I back and forth a couple of times in between to gather Nana and sleeping Reed!), and finally to the playground.

 THIS was Park Springs Park!  A fantastic place!!

 AND a balloon.  AND you can get a Band-Aid from the pharmacy.  Since when did the grocery store become so much fun?!?

 Charley's other birthday present was a pottery fairy house made my Nana.  She is REALLY enjoying it!  Just this week, she's left treasures for the fairies 3 days in a row, and they've rearranged twice and left her a note in fairy language!
