What could be more fun than playing with the tons of toys I own?
Emptying the fridge, of course!
My first indication that I had an outdoor lover came while we were home in Alabama a couple of weeks ago. To put things into context - Charley started walking on Valentine's Day. February in Ruby Valley is COLD - and often SNOWY - so we hadn't been out at all pre-Charley walking (what was I going to do, sit her in the snow and let her waller?), and the weather had been crummy post-Charley walking, until we got to Alabama. I'd take her outside for a short jaunt around the yard, just to enjoy the beautiful weather that we hadn't experienced since, well.... last October? And I couldn't get her to come back in!
So, once back in Ruby Valley, I took advantage of the first nice day, and we went out to explore the yard.
And, once again - I couldn't get her to come back inside! My little outdoorsman... woman... girl!
Family and friends, here is a little update of our life. Thank you for sharing it with us!

My little monkeys
Mom made C and Rod matching hats for Christmas. I wanted to get a pic of them in front of the refuge sign anyway, AND we had to fulfill a "Flat Puddles" NWR chain letter request, so we killed three birds with one stone!
Rod thought this outfit looked cute, so wanted to snap a couple of pics of C in it:

We love us some town trips...
Yep, you heard it right! I know, I know, normally that would read - "We HATE us some town trips" - as it usually involves heading out early, getting back late, and a chaotic stressful day of running millions of errands with hardly a moment to enjoy lunch! BUT - thanks to my new friend Monica, who invites us to spend the night with her on our town trips... we can now relax, enjoy ourselves, and make it more about playing and having fun (and squeezing in the errands)!
Wednesday morning we met Layla and Monica at the library for storytime.
What does my little koala bear do? Immediately work her way to the front of the room... hmmm, I was a little uneasy...
After a delicious Luciano's lunch, we spent the rest of the day at Monica's, just hanging out. Charley LOVED playing with Henry.
Thursday morning we had a yummy breakfast, then went to Cowboy Joe's to use up the giftcards we'd been given at the babies' Christmas party.
Then it was time for playgroup! What fun!
Oh how we love our town trips! :)

| Yep, that's her! RIGHT by the librarian. |

| She proceeded to take off her hat, while 2 little girls continued to put it back on her head for her. |

Hangin' at the House
Just wanted to share some photos of Charley about the house... ours and others!
Rod had a b-ball game last week, so C and I spent the evening with the Dahls.
Charley moved into her own bedroom at 13 mos. old. Recently I swapped everything that was in her closet (which used to be my extra storage) with everything that was in my closet (which was also storage - but had become largely storage for HER stuff!). These 2 things have yet to find a permanent home, so for the meantime are stuck in our bedroom. C found them and thought she needed to climb in them - poor bouncy seat could hardly take the strain!

Daddy pics...
WALKING pics - yes, she is officially walking now!!!
And, at Layla's house - stealing all the milk!
