Mother’s Day

But first – Alex.  Smile  This red-shouldered hawk was found hanging high in a tree, tangled in monofilament.  The Rogers fire department had to use trucks to get it down.  We transported it to our local wildlife rehabber, but she couldn’t receive it for a few hours, so in the interim, we gave him some fluids – he’d potentially been hanging in the trees for hours.

Rod planned a fun Mother’s Day in Eureka Springs.  First we went to Onyx Cave – the kids’ first cave.

Then we went to Blue Springs Heritage Center.

Charley sewed a pillow for me!

We walked outside, and saw this little fellow just relaxing on our swing!

Enjoying a drippy day on the trails at Crystal Bridges before heading to El Dia de los Ninos, where we did all kinds of really cool things (saw violin performances, saw dancers from Mexico and India, got our faces painted…).

Playdate with Bayleigh.  Toothpick sculptures and washing the car with…  bubbles!  (As in, the kind you blow…)
