The kids are so fortunate to have such good relationships with their grandparents. I only wish we were closer so that visits were more frequent! Now that we’re back east, however, it isn’t so much of a challenge to arrange visits! They’re blessed that a new tradition has begun of grandparents on their birthdays! As just shown in previous posts, Grandma was able to be with them on Charley’s birthday, Grandpa spent the day of their birthday party with them, and Nana and Pops were able to spend Reed’s birthday with them! The trifecta!!
Nana made Charley a fairy house some time ago, and Charley and I spent time creating a garden to go around it. She’s had HOURS of fun trading trinkets back and forth with her fairies that regularly visit! Well, Nana had made ME a tode abode a couple of years ago (and she’s since made me another), and it looked like a perfect little fairy house, so I suggested we repurpose it as a fairy house for Reed – but I let him have it on his birthday, along with the makings of a fairy garden for him to arrange. Nana added the perfect touch, by making each of them a little table and chairs for their gardens.
Then we moved outside, where the rest of Reed’s gifts were waiting for him.
He wasted no time climbing on his new pedal bike – and actually within days was riding it with no training wheels!! Barely age 4!!

AND he was excited to try out his new skates!
Went ahead and gave C a baby that used to be mine too – then, at Reed’s request for a birthday activity – we had a tea party!!!
He chose to go to Fun City Pizza.
Time for cake!
He and C had been talking for months about how they’d smash their faces in their birthday cake this year – he didn’t disappoint!
