Miscellaneous summer fun!

We had a lot of parfaits this summer!  Between all the fruit picking we did (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and peaches - yum!) and all the homemade yogurt we make, it was pretty much our yummy daily staple. 

All 5 of Charley's caterpillars metamorphosed again this year, though it happened in a more interesting manner this time (ask her about it!).  Here are the empty chrysalids.

AND her pet...  almost dead...  fly.

The culmination - releasing them into our very own butterfly garden!!  One even stuck around to snack on some nectar, so neat!

We came home one evening after a heavy rain, and found the entire neighborhood flooded.  You can see Charley's coined Lost and Found pond - it's like, well, a pond!  Rod went for a quick spin.

Then the kids stomped in the puddles.

Then our new neighbor AJ decided to join in on the fun.
