Fourth of July

We spent the day in Spring Creek.

First, we hit up the parade - Charley's first!  She loved it!

Then we went to the marina where they had games for the kids.  She did a cupcake walk...

... and got to ride this little airplane (a repeat of the train-type ride we'd just done at the Lamoille Fair that she said was her fave part of the day)...

Poor girl dropped the new bracelet she'd gotten at the parade, and spent the whole ride looking at her feet fretting about it

So of course, we had to buy her a second ride so she could enjoy it!
 She went fishing...

... and picked a duck from the duck pond.

More cupcake walk (with a request from me for NO MORE CUPCAKES!)

Finally, she wanted to get her face painted.  After waiting in line for 30+ minutes, and having over an hour to go, Dad was DONE.  So - I asked her what she wanted.  A circle, she replied.  What color?  Blue.  Surely I can handle this...  I asked the girls if they minded, and they HAPPILY said yes (and invited others to do the same!) - I quickly painted her face and we left!
Happy 4th of July!

Grandma's Visit

Grandma and Bob came to stay with us earlier this month.

Charley had so much fun playing with them!

Looking at birds

Hey Grandma!

I think Grandma had as much fun with the new sidewalk chalk she brought as Charley did!

Playing with the new ball Grandma brought Charley

No idea why she keeps pulling out her winter hats...

What a hit!  Bob found this at a yard sale - Charley plays on it every day!

Homemade Butter Pecan ice cream

Her new bean bag toss

Always fun to color!

We went to the Lamoille Country Fair one day - loads of fun (but HOT HOT HOT!)
Monica and Layla were there - riding the shuttle from our cars to the fair

Bounce house with the big kids - a bit intimidating, she just sat!

She saw this "robot" and had to have it

Her fave part of the day - this little train ride

She's the 4th one back.  I didn't know they rode around the grounds - they disappeared and I got a little nervous!  We told Charley later we didn't know where she want and we were asking "Where's Charley?"  She thought this was funny, and talked about that for days after.

Tram back to car

I think we wore her out!
